Cascadas Micos Rios de la Huasteca_3

This River Trip  begins in the garden-like setting of  Cascades Micos. We float and paddle  the river and rapids with two-person inflatable kayaks or a raft for six people. Our guides will coach you in controling the boats and explain river safety.

We provide lifevests, helmets and all the river equipment. The current carries us down a half-dozen class II rapids. These rapids are fun and exciting, but require no previous experience. The river flows through a lush green forest. The canopy is alive with parrots and differnt migratory birds.

Canyoneering Micos

Salto de Cascadas_6Swim and jump down the seven waterfalls of Cascadas Micos. From three to eight meters the falls are fun, safe and exciting. Enjoy the green waters and lush canyonsides  of the Kayaker's Disneyland. We spend an hour starting at the top and swimming and jumping  through the travertine canyon of Cascadas de Micos.

With lifejacket, helmet and a guide the falls are great way to cool off in the tropical sun. You don't need experience put you do need to know how to swim. 

Price: $250 pesos per person.

Tampaón Whitewater

Rios de la Huasteca_11Whitewater Rafting the Rio Tampaón. The Río Tampaón plunges through eight class III rapids as it passes through an impressive 1000 foot deep canyon.

The river carries you to the Puente de Dios, where the river passes under a natural bridge. Enjoy a delicious lunch on the river bank. The turquoise waters of the river reflect the tropical ski and lush green canyonsides. The trip is 10 km in total and takes about five hours.

Kayak Lessons

This class is designed to introduce you to the exciting sport of whitewater paddling. The class will cover basic strokes, maneuvers, and techniques needed to safely and confidently paddle a canoe or kayak in the whitewater rapids. Classes include the use of the latest boats and equipment and are taught by ACA certified instructors.
