Description

The Actopan starts  out of springs in a cliff. The water is champagne blue. It is a great start with  a little falls you can drop into the plunge pool. The first three rapids are a little more difficult than rest of run. about a km. down a falls enters from right. good rapid here as well. another couple hundred meters  at el trancate  or zetal  is another access point and great little surf wave. From here down the rest of run is continuous splashy water flowing among mango groves and choyote fields. One small hole near end.  Actopan is from Nahuatl meaning lugar fertil o tierra productiva. the guys at la Carpa will drive shuttle. dieter.
